Milacidae
New slug from Santa Catarina, Brazil
26-01-2010 19:39
Alien slugs can develop easily in pest species and
the increase of global horticultural trade is
facilitate the entrance of new invaders (Cowie et al,
2008). This seems to apply also for Milax
gagates (Draparnaud, 1801). The occurrence of
this species has now been confirmed for the southern
state Santa Catarina in Brazil (Agudo-Padrón, 2009).
